Managing Your Account
Update your profile, manage security settings, purchase credits, and control your data.
Getting there
Click Settings in the top navigation. Use the tabs to switch between Profile and Account.
Profile Settings
Optionally enter your name and location.
Name
This is how you'll be identified in the app.
Location
Your city, state, and ZIP code. Clutch uses this to find nearby service shops when you need recommendations. This information is optional.
Click Save Changes when done.
Account
Manage your email address, password, and AI credit balance here.
AI Chat Credits
The Clutch AI requires credits to use. Credits are charged on a per-chat basis. One credit is deducted for each message you submit to the AI. Your balance is shown on the Account page, as well as in the chat interface for easy tracking.
Security
Changing your email address
If you need to update your email address, you can do this in you account settings.
- Enter your new email address.
- Enter your current password to authorize the change.
- Click Update Email Address.
- Check your new inbox for a confirmation link and click it to complete the change.
Until you click the confirmation link sent to your new email address, your original email address remains active. You'll see a yellow notice on the Account page reminding you that a change is pending.
Changing your password
If you need to update your password, you can do this in you account settings.
- Enter your current password.
- Enter your new password (at least 8 characters).
- Confirm the new password.
- Click Update Password.
Forgot your password?
Go to the Sign In page and click Forgot your password? Enter your email address and we'll send you a reset link.
Signing out
Click Sign Out in the navigation. Your data is saved and will be there when you sign back in.
Deleting your account
This is permanent and cannot be undone. Deleting your account removes everything:
- All vehicles, services, and parts
- All chat history
- Any remaining credits
- Your profile and login
To delete, click Delete Account in the Danger Zone and confirm the dialog.
